Liverpool FC Fans Await Opening of New Anfield Stand
Liverpool FC’s highly anticipated new stand at Anfield is still in the works as the club prepares to welcome 61,000 fans to matches. However, before the stand can be fully operational, a public test event is required to obtain a licence from the Liverpool City Council.
The upcoming test event will involve testing the building, systems, and various management plans, such as welfare facilities, entry and exit procedures, and fire alarm evacuation. Approximately 3,000 people will be needed in the upper tier for this test event.
Following the successful completion of the test event, the club will then need to obtain a safety certificate before opening the upper tier to the public. Once open, ticket sales for the additional seats will prioritize fans who had their tickets cancelled for specific fixtures earlier this year.
Exciting news for Liverpool FC Members, as the dates for the second Members’ sale of the season have been confirmed. The Members’ ticket sale for games from January onwards will take place from December 6 for Members aged 13 and above. No registration is required for this guaranteed ticket sale period.
For other Members, they can enter a registration ballot, with registration open until December 8. The ballot results and sale periods will be announced after completing the test event and operating the upper tier for a number of games around Christmas.
To find out more about the Members’ sales, fans can visit Liverpool FC’s Members’ sale hub. The club acknowledges and appreciates the patience and understanding of all their supporters throughout this process.
As Liverpool FC continues to enhance Anfield and provide an even better matchday experience for their devoted fans, excitement builds for the opening of the new stand.
